Long-Term Slots Allocation (LoTSA) Terms and conditions Revised 6
The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) has released Version 6 of the Long-term Slot Allocation. Compared to the previous Version 3, the key changes include:
- Change in the application date to full containers segment as follows:
- Customers awarded Long-Term slots shall submit a particular date booking request in The Transit Reservation System (Booking). Application, as outlined in Table #1.
- Individual Timeframe is the priority granted to each winner place of the sealed bid.
- The Total Timeframe is the entire period each winner place has to register their booking request in the transit reservation system.
- Unlimited swaps and substitutions request at least 8 days prior to the required arrival time. Request made within 7 days of the required arrival time will incur a substitution and/or swapping fee.
- Booking slots acquired via the LoTSA method will be exempt from cancellation surcharge for Neopanamax Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) vessels.
- Auction closing time will not be extended.
