PANAMA FLASH NEWSLETTER – March 10th , 2020

Re:  COVID-19 – March 9, Panama Health Authorities reported Panama’s first confirmed case of Coronavirus.  The virus was detected in a passenger arriving by air (not sea) from Spain.

Please find attached Advisory AVD04-2020 in which the Panama Canal Authority issued guidelines for reporting any suspected illness or symptoms for vessels arriving in Panama Canal waters.

Re:  Canal Congestion – Panama Canal transit operations remaining in Booking Condition 1A with a reduced number of daily booking slots.

Opening bid for Supers (>=91’ beam) is $35,000.  Opening bid for Regulars (<=91’ beam) is $15,000
