Re: Panama Locks Unscheduled Lane Outage Gatun Locks (Atlantic Side).
Beginning at 08:00 hours on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, until 0001 hours on Friday, January 15, 2021 (40 hours), the East Lane of Gatun Locks will be out of service for removal of the “Soft-Nose” structure at the North end of Gatun locks.
As a result, and in accordance with the rules governing the Transit Reservation System (OP Notice to Shipping No. N-7-2021), Condition 2 for the Panamax locks will be in effect from Wednesday, January 13, 2021 to Friday, January 15, 2021. Applications for reserved transits while Condition 2 is in effect will be received beginning at 0900 hours on Sunday, January 10, 2021.

The Just-In-Time (JIT) transit slots available for supers and regulars transiting without restrictions will be one for each direction. The booking slots available through the auction process, and the slots for Neopanamax vessels, will remain unchanged during this period.
During the unscheduled Lane Outage – anticipate advise will be no booking slot for Supers and Regulars vessels during the 3er period; alternative to participate in the auction (1) slot once published.
